Have you ever wondered if it is possible to find true and lasting joy and hope for your life? Maybe you have just been looking in the wrong place! We believe that true and lasting joy and hope is found only in one place and that is in Christ Jesus.
Have you ever considered becoming a Christian? Have you wondered how you can accept Jesus Christ as your personal Lord and Savior? Guess what? It's really simple. God planned it that way. Isn't that great?
To understand God's invitation to join His family, follow along below. Be sure to e-mail us at the end of the page and let us know about your new decision to follow Christ. We will then e-mail you back and help you to take the next step in your exciting new life.
* Your heart tends to run from God and rebel against Him. The Bible calls this "sin." It's something you are born with in your life. And it's sin that can keep you from ever getting into the presence of God. For you see, God is perfect and sin and perfection cannot exist together. So you see, you have a problem. Romans 3:23 says, "For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God." Easy to understand right? That's a pretty clear verse. So what can you do?
* God loves you and wants to save you from sin and give you a new life of joy and hope. John 10:10 says, "I have come that you may have life, and have it to the full." Wow! Isn't it neat that God took the initiative to come to us so that we could have Him in our life? God loves us. John 3:16 says, "For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son that whosoever believes in Him shall be saved."
* God has given you a gift and that gift is salvation. I don't know about you, but when somebody gives me a gift I don't usually give it back and tell them I don't want it! God's gift to you was His Son. Romans 5:8 says, "But God demonstrates His own love for us in this; while we were still sinners, Christ died for us."
* So how do you receive this gift. There is only one way. You don't get it by being a good person, or doing good things, or attending church, or being baptized as an infant. You can get this free gift only by faith and faith alone. Ephesians 2:8 says, "For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith...and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God...not by works, so that no one can boast."
* So you see, faith is a decision of your heart demonstrated by the actions of your life. Romans 10:9 says, "If you confess with your mouth 'Jesus is Lord,' and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved." Wow! God did make it easy. Yet many people miss it completely.
*If you choose right now to believe Jesus died for your sins and to receive new life through Him, pray a prayer like this to thank Him for your new life.
* "Dear God, I know I am a sinner. I believe Jesus died to forgive me of my sins. I now accept Your offer of eternal life. Thank You for forgiving me of all my sin. Thank you for my new life. From this day forward, I will choose to follow you."
* If you prayed this prayer, share your decision with a Christian friend or pastor. If you are not already attending church, find one in which you can worship and grow in your faith. Following Christ's example, ask to be baptized as a public expression of your faith.
* We would love to hear about your decision to follow Christ. Please let us know by sending us an e-mail at wtwngch@together.net
